River Ride 2025 will bring a destination cycling event back to Virginia’s Northern Neck.
Cyclists from throughout Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay region will come to Kilmarnock to explore more than 100 miles of scenic Northern Neck backroads.
This event is an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to engage with an affluent, active audience that is eager to discover the best the Northern Neck has to offer.

Many Virginians know the Northern Neck for its seafood, water views, and world-class boating. But did you know the peninsula is also home to some of the state’s most scenic backroads?
River Ride 2025 will take riders along winding wooded lanes, past farm fields in their autumn glory, and by historic towns, churches, and farms steeped in American history.
Routes range from family-friendly 10 miles on quiet farm roads to more advanced routes of 17, 30, and 70 miles. The 30- and 70-mile loops can be combined by riders seeking to complete a full Century (100 miles).
